I'm a certified Let Your Yoga Dance® Instructor. I was trained by the amazing Megha-Nancy Buttenheim, M.A., the founder of Let Your Yoga Dance®. Megha has been leading teacher-trainings, retreats, and classes at Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, since 1985.
I was a corporate marketing exec for 20+ years but now I'm choosing to follow what gives me joy and am working on being my “true self.” I've become a Let Your Yoga Dance® Instructor because it’s fun and is something totally different for me.
I'm not your typical “exercise” instructor. I chose Let Your Yoga Dance® because it truly reflects the inside beauty of people, that no matter what size person you are, you’re beautiful. Let Your Yoga Dance® is about loving yourself, no matter what age you are, what shape you are, what aches you may have! Everyone is a dancer – even if you have never been on a dance floor!
About Me as a Let Your Yoga Dance® Teacher!
What Happens in Let Your Yoga Dance®!
Grace in motion happens; an energy dance explosion happens. Seven energy centers provide the foundation for this dance of yoga. We dance the yoga of the wild and woolly, the sexy and silly, the deep and delicious. We wrap ourselves in our biggest embodied self while dancing beyond our dreams. We are shaken to our core by drums and rhythms of the Earth. We dance our animal archetypes and our spirit prayers. We dance our energy, inviting it to flow upward from the base of our spine up through the crown of the head, and back down to the earth again. Result? A blissful body, joyous heart, a steady and quiet mind.
“To live is to dance. To dance is to live.”
